Wrapping Things Up

This morning we leave Croatia and head back to London and we only have 3 weeks left before we head back to the States. We have seen such amazing growth in our kids and ourselves and have absolutely loved our adventures abroad. Because of this, we have decided to continue our adventures abroad come October.

This has lead us to some difficult discussions and choices surrounding our animals. I know it wouldn’t be fair to our furry family members to have them come home to us for the summer only to have them go to a different home in the fall. They need steady families as we do. Which leads me feeling a twinge of sadness this morning.

I’m forever grateful for the two incredible families that have taken on our animals this year. Both our cat and our dog have been loved and so well taken care care of by two very special families. I thank the Lord for them.
Both families have said they would love to adopt our sweet animals-which I’m so grateful for and yet I can’t help but be sad as I will miss our sweet Gru’s half-rabbit and mouse gifts and his cuddles and taking him camping. Seriously, what cat goes camping? Gru did. And Runner–I will miss his goofy sit, his love for cuddles and pets, and his company. We have been very blessed to have found such great homes for them. Thank you families from the bottom of our hearts!

Now–for prayers. We are hoping to find a motor home, trailer or fifth-wheel to live in this summer. A short-term 3 bedroom apartment in Reno is outrageously expensive and non-existent as there is a real shortage in housing right now–and an RV would allow us the flexibility to travel some with Ryan. We are looking at purchasing–although if anyone has one we could borrow or even rent for a good price, we would be forever grateful. We are hoping to find one with 4 bunks so each of the kids have a bed–but that seems incredibly hard to find so we can be flexible.

So, prayers for a place to live, work for Ryan this summer, and continued peace about decisions we make regarding our lives would be appreciated!

Thank you!
